CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS PATH · SAVONA

Posture, feet and coordination for children and teenagers in Savona

Is your child often hunched, quick to tire, or looking uncoordinated since a sudden growth spurt? During growth the body changes faster than movement habits do, and those habits stay.

Youth pathway

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • A closed, hunched posture at school, under a backpack or in front of a screen.
  • Poorly coordinated movement, especially after a growth spurt.
  • Tiring before peers, or avoiding certain games and movements.
  • Already doing a sport, but always repeating the same movement pattern.
  • Flat or misaligned feet, a foot strike that rolls inwards or outwards, shoes that wear out on one side.

How we read it in Metodo DC

While growing, foundations matter more than performance. They are the same at every age — movement, biomechanics and breathing — but here the aim is to build them while the body is changing, so that coordination and posture grow along with everything else instead of adapting by chance.

How Metodo DC works: movement, biomechanics and breathing

What we observe and what we work on

  • Coordination: finding your bearings in space and linking movements in order.
  • Posture in real situations: school, backpack, screen, sport.
  • Breathing, as a base for stability and calm.
  • Joint mobility appropriate to the growth phase.
  • Mindful movement: understanding what your own body is doing, in simple words.
  • Foot strike and balance: foot strength, proprioception and basic movement patterns — walking, running, jumping.

Who it is for

Children and teenagers, together with their parents: those who do not play a sport yet and those who only play one, those going through rapid growth, those who need motor foundations before they become a limit. Parents are part of the path and are always told what is being observed and why.

Where it takes place
